Case Study # 5 Andrew Moore… “Nobody Wants To Be A Fat Dad!”

“My name is Andrew Moore, I am 29 year old Semi Professional Rugby Player for Chester RUFC and I work in Finance in Liverpool. I live in in Chester, with my wife Helen and 8 month old daughter Holly.

I decided to start on a PT program because I had let myself slide to such a level, that I really wasn’t happy with both my physical appearance and my attitude/work ethic towards rugby.

I knew being the sort of person that I am, if I commit to a program with a clear set goal at the end of it, then I would see it through.”
“I didn’t want to just aimlessly go back to a commercial gym where I know after a few weeks of no progress I would have most likely reverted back to my old ways.

There was a big change in coaching structure at my Rugby club which gave me incentive to get back into condition, coupled with the birth of daughter it made me realise nobody wants to be a fat dad!

My motivation before PT was non-existent, Rugby wasn’t going the way I liked and I enjoyed the summer BBQ’s WAY too much! I was just plodding through my rugby sessions, enjoying the changing banter with the lads more than the game itself. I wasn’t paying any attention to what I ate or what I drank, and with Holly coming along training and nutrition were at the back of my mind as all my attention turned to looking after her.”
